Sunday Mirror (England)

HACKERS may have accessed the bank details of nearly 2,000 Vodafone customers in a major new security breach.
Criminals have potentially gained names, mobile numbers, bank sort codes and the last four digits of bank accounts.
Vodafone said 1,827 accounts were accessed between midnight on Wednesday and midday on Thursday. It is the fourth major data breach in a week following those involving Marks & Spencer, British Gas and TalkTalk.
Vodafone said the details could not be used to access bank accounts but customers could be at risk of fraud.
A spokesman added: "This was driven by criminals using email addresses and passwords from an unknown source external to Vodafone."
POLICE yesterday arrested a third person over the TalkTalk hacking attack. Met detectives were quizzing the 20-year-old man from Staffordshire.
